NEH Preservation Assistance Grants of
up to $6,000 on a non-matching basis

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) will award Preservation Assistance Grants of up to $6,000 to small and mid-sized institutions for preservation planning and implementing small projects that strengthen collections care overall. Institutions such as libraries, museums, historical societies, archival repositories, arts and cultural organizations, and town and county records offices are encouraged to apply.

Remember: All applications must be submitted
through Grants.gov. For more information and to

Eligible activities for a Preservation Assistance Grant include:
- General preservation assessments
- Collection-level or item-level assessments
- On-site training in areas such as disaster preparedness and environmental monitoring
- Development of a preservation plan
- Consultations with preservation professionals to address a specific preservation issue, need, or problem
- Attendance at preservation and digitization workshops and training programs, including related travel and per diem expenses
