Digital Directions

Fundamentals of Creating and Managing Digital Collections

Digital Directions is a three-day conference presenting the essentials of digitization. A faculty of national experts will introduce participants to the range of activities and issues associated with digitizing collection material, from file formats to fund raising, from digital printing to digital asset management. The conference is an updated version of NEDCC’s popular School for Scanning, which was first presented in 1995. The conference has kept up with evolving standards and practices over the years and was renamed to reflect its expanded content, which now encompasses the full life-cycle of digital objects from planning to creation to sustainability.
