REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 24!

DIGITAL DIRECTIONS:
Fundamentals of Creating and Managing Digital Collections

Raleigh Convention Center, Raleigh, NC
August 3-5, 2015

Registration Deadline Extended to Friday, July 24

The Digital Directions conference will give you the foundation you need to create good digital collections with an eye toward long-term access.  You will come away with an understanding of concepts and processes, as well as the language you need to make a case for a digitization project or to undertake a fundraising initiative.

Meet colleagues who have similar challenges. Fill in the gaps in your digital training – or confirm you are on the right track. Student rates are available!

Past participants comment on the value of attending Digital Directions:

- This was truly a "Digitization 101" for me. I am so glad I attended!  I can use the information to be more confident when making a presentation to the library directors and colleagues.

- Attending the conference reinforced guiding principles and policies for past and current work and provided current best practices and standards. This will help update our vocabulary in doing program advocacy and fundraising.

- Most valuable for me: Making connections with colleagues doing similar work; learning about recently developed standards, best practices, and recommendations; learning about digital project tools, and hearing about case studies, especially lessons learned.

- This was my first DigDir and I found a perfect combo of collection management and common issues for an emerging professional like me!
