CARING FOR MUNICIPAL RECORDS - Webinar

It can be a challenge to fit preservation in with other job responsibilities in town clerk's offices and city departments charged with recordkeeping. This two-hour introduction to the preservation of paper collections will provide the basic knowledge necessary to care for bound volumes, documents, and photographs. The webinar will include information on storage, handling of historic records, and when to consult a conservator.
The program is tailored to the particular concerns of those tasked with preserving government records.

PRESERVATION 101 - The Ten Session Course
The Instructor-led Preservation 101: Preservation Basics for Analog and Digital Collections course gives participants the foundation needed to be effective collections stewards.
Who should attend? Staff and volunteers at cultural heritage institutions who are responsible for preservation and access projects; Town clerks, county commissioners, and other municipal records holders; Corporate archivists and records managers in need of preservation training.
