NEDCC Staff News

 

 

welcomes new NEDCC staff members!

Stephanie Garafolo, Preservation Specialist
Stephanie has worked in a number of museums and historic properties, most recently as Communications Coordinator at the Armenian Museum of America. As a member of the Preservation Services Team, she will provide preservation information and outreach nationwide, including assessments, consultations, training programs, and disaster assistance. 

Terra Huber, Assistant Book Conservator
Terra recently made the transition from Assistant Paper Conservator in NEDCC’s Paper Conservation Lab to Assistant Book Conservator in the Book Conservation Lab, a relocation of about 20 feet!  Terra will perform conservation of diverse and unique bound materials held by NEDCC’s institutional and private clients, such as printed books and pamphlets, bound manuscripts, scrapbooks, atlases, town record books, and photograph albums.   

Annajean Hamel, Lead Preparator and Paper Conservation Technician
Annajean is a talented framer and conservation technician and primarily performs matting, framing, and construction of custom housings for works of art and historic materials, as well as assisting the registrar with receipt and handling of client materials.

Lindy Noecker, Collections Photographer
Lindy has an MS in Library Science, Archives Management, from Simmons College, and has served as Archives Assistant at the Harvard Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology; an Archives Volunteer for Norlin Library Special Collections/Archives at CU Boulder; and Archives intern for the Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University.

Julia Hawkins, Audio Preservation Intern
Working with the Center’s experienced Audio Preservation Engineers, Julia assists in assessing the condition of legacy audio carriers; cleaning, stabilization, and repair of carriers; and rehousing original carriers; and imaging containers and accompanying documentation for at risk audio collections. 

Jeneen Hagerty, Administrative Assistant
Jeneen handles client inquiries and prepares correspondence, as well as assisting senior staff in preparing treatment and digitization proposals and reports, as well as coordinating the Center’s quarterly Advisory Committee and Board meetings.
