American Institute for Conservation. Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice, 1998.
The Code of Ethics provides a brief historical background of the development of ethical standards for conservators. It clearly states behaviors and attitudes that conservators must follow. The Guidelines for Practice and the accompanying Commentaries outline rules for professional conduct as well as minimum accepted, recommended, and special practices that meet ethical standards.
